· Do they like it?

Let’s start with the easy question.

Before “does it work,” the obvious check: do participants actually like being in the room? Here’s what 1,811 of them said.

· But do they actually grow?

Love is easy.
Growth is the number that matters.

Overall ratings tell you whether someone enjoyed themselves. Growth ratings tell you whether they actually changed. So we asked: On a scale from 0 (I didn’t grow at all) to 10 (I’m a completely transformed speaker), how much did you grow?

Eight isn’t a compromise number. On this scale, an eight means substantially stronger speaker than when I walked in. The median alum isn’t polishing — they’re meaningfully different.

· And we’re not done

Every cohort says we’re better than the last.

Our overall rating has hovered at 9.4 for nearly a decade — it was always high. What changed is growth. In 2017 the average alum rated their growth a 7.3. Today it’s 8.8. A full point higher. On a 10-point self-report scale, that isn’t marginal.

Consistency at scale is the real flex.
Anyone can pull a 9+ rating from one cohort. Holding it over a decade and tons of different audiences is a different kind of signal.

8.0 on a 10-point transformation scale
Growth is the honest number.
We asked alumni to rate their own transformation on a 0–10 scale where 10 means completely transformed speaker. They gave themselves an 8. One in three rated 9 or 10.
"I experienced a crazy transformation in just two short days."Shopify · 2019
03
68% rate their growth 8 or higher
Growth isn’t rare. It’s the norm.
Two in three alumni rate themselves in the “substantially stronger speaker” zone. One in five say they’re completely transformed. Meaningful growth is the majority experience, not the exception.
"You MUST do this! Your presentations, stories, conversations — heck, YOU will experience transformation in two short days!"Shopify · 2019

Overall ratings were always high. What moved was growth — from 7.3 in 2017 to 8.8 in 2026. We don’t coast. We keep iterating on the thing that actually matters.
